2-1-2026 MY WEEK: blog birthday!

people - it's the blog's first birthday! i am really happy to be doing this project. it became like a digital journal, a creative outlet. i genuinely feel more aware of stuff i wear, the media i consume, and how the environment and people inspire me.

this was never about monetization or becoming an influencer. it was truly for the love of all nostalgic, including the classic blogspot/myspace/lookbook.nu websites that reigned the digital fashion world, created by people just like you and i. it was a future promised, but never achieved due to the societal need to become "social media relevant".

i'm thankful for the people reading this weekly, texting me and reaching out, or commenting on my entries. you guys are so awesome. i'd like to give a huge shoutout to my friends, who receive the first update once i post it, these girls give me the most wonderful feedback. big love there!!

anyways, if you want to revisit where was i first entry, join me in a trip down memory lane. and if you're curious to re-read the most popular weekly entry of year 1, check it out here.

not much changed in the year, a bit of formatting and such. my goal this year is to dedicate some time to learn how to code. if i can refine the look of PeSuit and Tie, my confidence would soar! so far, you may notice a bit of a revamp. currently using a blogger pre-made theme. sunday nites are not the time to try new experiments while wrapping up the final drafts.

well, back to the here and now. this week was a tough work week, resulting in a chilly ride to columbus on friday and a detour to grandpa's cheesebarn

it's a kind of week where one just aches for the weekend. sib and i went to a few antique malls in the area and window shopped, but also treated ourselves with essentials.

vintage diane von furstenburg sweater.
100% cotton

vintage salvatore ferragamo catalog

vintage "travel aide" with essentials.

best of january

here's some of my fave january looks:
1/1 new years look

1/2 work

1/6 work

1/8 work

1/9 goodbye party for bestie victoria moving

1/10 girls nite out

1/12 work

1/13 errands

1/14 work

1/23 work

this week's looks

all but one look involved some kind of button down top. i made the effort to wear these upcycled brooch/tie accessories i made last week (i made 6 in different color groups). with below zero temps, not much more could be done other than mindful layering and subtle accessories. i can't believe next week's 20° will feel good.

tuesday's back to work look was a blood orange silk blouse (with buttons that only have to make sense to me), calvin klein straight leg jeans, vintage leopard print hat and vintage gloves, doc marten's marc jacobs tote bag, and down jacket.

wednesday: khaki + black. gloria vanderbilt khaki jeans, vintage paisley blouse, moto boots, earmuffs, and itty bitty sparks of red in jewelry and sunnies.

thursday i wore a chunky knit sweater under a soft poncho, combined with vintage faded glory jeans. stuck with the moto boot + tote bag + puffer most week.

friday in columbus. spent most of the day driving. not optimal to wear a blouse prone to creasing. blue hues with hints of green in blouse + bag.

saturday's look was not like the others. the only day i wore something other than button down, i wore a chunky brown sweater, knit hat and wide leg dark wash jeans. we went shopping for ski gear (more about that below) and got dinner with boyfriend.

sunday we went to church and window shopping at the antique malls. wore a crisp oversized white blouse from h&m and brown slacks with subtle pattern. calvin klein coat and doc's. decorated the blouse with a brooch i made with purple, green and blue pendants.

what am i looking forward to next week?

for starters, i'd love a break from the snow. sib, boyfriend, his buddy, and i are traveling to a new york ski resort for the skifest event organized by the croatian fraternal union. planning outfits is coming to a close, and i even got ski pants. have i ever skiied? nope. wish me luck!
