PeSuit and Tie

y'all survived the blue monday ? if you're in the midwest, i commiserate - snow storms and staying stuck at home, that's the vibe this week. unfortunately, the mood is getting yuckier with the political happenings in our states, so doomscrolling has been ever so depressing. sib and i managed to go out for a bit - sib needed new walking shoes. what a better excuse to get out the house than some window shopping. also, what a better time than post-holiday season, with leftover returns. we get to ross, our holy grail for great branded shoes for the fraction of the price. scour each size (you never know, maybe my size 7 is hiding among 10). sib found adidas x stella mccartney shoes, i forced her to try them. not it, too big, damn. she found another pair of nike's instead. no stellas in my size. i too, take a peak at shoes my size, find a pair of jessica simpson black wedges. i'll never turn away a pair of jessica simpsons. they're so comfy! besides, i've been in ...

  this week, boyfriend is on a hunt for a designer tie . one of many reasons why we are my favorite couple in the world, is that we both share a love for eccentric fashion, vintage relics (be it antiques or clothing), and rarities. we always joke that our future home will probably look like a museum (an excuse for hoarding whatever collectibles and bizarre items we thrift along the years).  i figured i'd share his finds with the world, and i will be searching some too. girlfriend of the year over here! y'all better not bid against my boo!

  everyone say welcome back sib ! she returns from her odyssey into the homeland, and bears a multitude of gifts.  aside from delicious snacks she brought back, sib got us more melem , a skincare brand from croatia i always try to stack up on. she got me april's vogue adria  edition, that also included vogue living . it is i, readers, that am living  for this. i also asked for an interview magazine  if she found it in the european airports, as i used to get lucky during trips years prior. sib did not share that luck, but i am still grateful.  sib did not disappoint in the clothing department. here's just a small haul of items she brought back, that i know for a fact, i'll be borrowing: trench coat from h&m . gift from a family friend tote bag from our hometown.  the art is ai and i am very upset asymmetrical lace top with bell sleeves purchased at house vintage evening dress from mom vintage evening dress from mom asymmetrical top purchased in home...

   a vogue article and the superbowl inspired me to talk about when sports met fashion...     i am not at all sporty. the only sport i did was dance (if you consider that sport) in middle school. that was fashionable. we didn't have uniforms (gotta love the low budget) so instead we had a dress code and just hope we are all cohesive. i remember wearing a pink floral skirt for one performance, and another memory seared into my brain was a barbie girl  performance where i agreed to be the ken. button down shirt which i borrowed from my crush at the time and jeans, while the girls around me were as barbiefied as they could be.   sport is super important where i come from though. croatia is impressive and amazing in sports: handball, waterpolo, and of course soccer - those are just many divisions we excel. let's talk about the croatian soccer jersey. you can recognize it by the bright red and white checkers, a detail taken from our country's...
