what i'm reading... i read  vogue adria . it's a great beach read for hot sticky afternoons by the beach, when locusts overpower conversation.  i also tapped into my inner teen and read the latest ok je ok!  here's what ok! predicts for spring/summer 2026: all shades of pink "various pink shades are coming back in style, especially pastel combinations or high contrast. if you think that pink 'is childish', think again." black and white world "for days you want to look serious (but also cool), black and white are your companions. find an interesting top, checkered print or simple clean lines." brave fashion "instead of muted tones, it's been trendy to bravely combine bright colors for an energetic look. forget about keep it all monochromatic. pair electric blue with orange, or purple with bright yellow. your outfit is your energy, and this trend screams with confidence". a game of dots and flowers "florals and polka dots retur...

my legs are still sore from my first-ever attempt in skiing (not a failure per se, but sib and i agreed we'll be taking lessons soon). my cheeks still carry a red tint of windburn, and the lack of sleep due to late nite socials is evident in my sluggish demeanor.  the obvious highlight of my whole week was escapism from cold to freezing as we took a road trip to holiday valley  for a weekend skifest  organized by the croatian fraternal union. the drive was slow and dark through salted and still snowy highways. the townhouse we stayed in was so  hygge, fitting as i recently shared in a blog post (sib is now an expert in hygge).  the baby hills were as far as what sib and i stomached on our first ever ski endeavor, and we really weren't confident enough. nevertheless, something to cross of the bucket list for 2026. a sport i've never tried before. i was enjoying boyfriend's osha-approved neon look as he skied down slopes. sure, my lashes were frosting ...

style report: dalmatia fall/winter 2025 in the two and a half weeks of staying at "home" #2, i did my due diligence, and observed in cafés, and on the streets - what are the croatians wearing this fall? trench coat + wide leg jeans the trench coat was ever-present, the moment my feet landed on european soil. hell, even i was wearing a trench coat?! simple, effortless and timeless. this fall, dalmatians are pairing the trench with wide leg jeans, but your possibilities are truly endless. business casual are blazers back - due to the recession? i've seen more blazers at the local cafe than at jcpenney. even my mom was getting hip with it, as she demanded we buy her a navy and a grey one! a navy blazer is actually on my to buy list. now i truly need it. while most blazer looks were impressively well put together, it was getting too much - i saw a teen girl wearing a white one paired with grey leggings. i was left speechless, and not in a good way. jeans with turned up hems...
