  i love a good packing list. in august i had an  inspo  entry dedicated to my ideal packing list, including joan didion's  packing list when covering stories as a journalist. i enjoy preplanning travel fits for road trips and out of country adventures, the ritual of having a list, crossing it all off, creating the best playlist, and the feeling of having control in a tiny spec of my life is exciting and fantastic. the more refined my plan, the less stress i have during traveling. when you think of it, it's cost-efficient too, to pack smart. why buy an umbrella in nyc when i already packed my dollar store raincoat?  kim gordon  has a song bye bye  which is basically her own packing list. since i'm back from my own road trip, i highlighted all of kim's items in the lyrics that match what was in my suitcase this weekend. buy a suitcase , pants to the cleaner cigarettes for keller call the vet, call the groomer call the dog sitter milk thistle, calcium, h...
