PeSuit and Tie

i love enmeshing various cultures within a week. from american pastimes to learning about haitian culture, i kept it busy and super fun.   started off the week with a home run - first baseball game of the season with my work girlfriends. we might've lost on the field, but my girls and i won at the buffet.  this past friday was the museum's mix: the year of the horse . it included local asian dj's, the fashiontalks  fashion presentation, a performance of traditional chinese dances, a strong lychee martini, and an occasional cowboy hat. my work besties and i reunited over the weekend again (it's good when you can vibe with people you work at outside the office), and we did a margarita crawl  in chagrin falls. sampling margaritas and getting daydrunk while wearing sombreros and rooting for your fave kentucky derby horse is a great way to spend a saturday. here's a list of all margaritas i tried, and their ratings: 1. spicy hibiscus margarita (pub frato) 2. blackberry m...

  cleveland is by far not an important fashion center. i feel it. especially living in suburbia. inspiration is scarce. or so i thought.  i only lived in small towns my entire life and was known for 'eccentric' looks. i saw a comment on tiktok recently, stating something in the style of "it's easy to dress differently in a big city like nyc or la. people with real fashion will do that in a suburb and that's truly bold". i'm paraphrasing, but it was something in that vibe and it spoke to me, made me feel like it's worth having a fashion show here in the seeming middle of nowhere. enough about me and the philosophy of overdressing. back to my town. it might be the defrosting of northeast ohio, and the recent mix  i attended, alongside visiting the rock and roll hall of fame  where i realized inspiration is here . not in a meta-world of internet fakeness and brand deals. seeing the pop-up antique shops and my regular consignment visitations, i wanted to g...
