5-3-2026 MY WEEK: april showers bring more showers

i love enmeshing various cultures within a week. from american pastimes to learning about haitian culture, i kept it busy and super fun. started off the week with a home run - first baseball game of the season with my work girlfriends. we might've lost on the field, but my girls and i won at the buffet. 

this past friday was the museum's mix: the year of the horse. it included local asian dj's, the fashiontalks fashion presentation, a performance of traditional chinese dances, a strong lychee martini, and an occasional cowboy hat.

my work besties and i reunited over the weekend again (it's good when you can vibe with people you work at outside the office), and we did a margarita crawl in chagrin falls. sampling margaritas and getting daydrunk while wearing sombreros and rooting for your fave kentucky derby horse is a great way to spend a saturday. here's a list of all margaritas i tried, and their ratings:

this week's looks

i didn't shy from structural workwear. i didn't take anything too casual, and when it felt casual, i amped it up over the week. my weekend was full of patterns and colors too, we totally stayed on some kind of theme or reference. 

for work monday i wore a cropped tee and bellbottoms, but it felt too casual so i grabbed a pinstripe blazer and red ballet flats. jewelry stack, gucci sunnies and a tote bag.

monday night game. wore a vintage indians tee and the same bellbottoms, and vintage adidas windbreaker, my comfy sneakers, denim crossbody, jewelry and sunnies.

tuesday i was described as "pious" at work. tory burch polo top, banana republic midi skirt, 3/4 sleeve blazer, loafers, some pattern mixing with the tote

on wednesday we wore blue. vintage blouse and skirt, black leather deets for some edge, and the sunnies and jewelry combo.

did not go in a michael jackson referenced look for the movie. boyfriend and i got dinner then film after, and it was a gloomy evening, only comfy clothes would do. ribbed top, leggings, calvin klein puffer vest, ugg slippers to work on my moonwalk.

thursday work. vintage levi's, a statement blouse in teal and orange, patent leather loafers, and leather jacket and purse.

friday work: white button down, ralph lauren houndstooth blazer, navy chinos from gap, black leather purse and patent leather loafers. 

mix: some ranch vibes, ralph lauren polka dot gown, leather boots, tassel suede jacket, coach wristlet. the cowboy hat stayed in the car. 

saturday's margarita crawl: jean paul gaultier top, christian lacroix pants, converse, leather jacket and tote. not pictured: a haitian hat in the style of bad bunny. i wonder if we won the sombrero contest.

sunday's walk look. vera wang distressed top, northface pants, and pops of coral.

what am i looking forward to this week? 

i might go back to the theaters again to watch the devil wears prada 2. i'm looking forward to a bridal shower, mother's day events, and i may take a peek at what the celebs wore to the met gala.
