4-19-2026 MY INSPO: lightning round

  this week i'm doing brief lightning rounds  of inspo, unrelated to each other, but still worthy to end up on the blog. i found a cool outfit i want to try and recreate, from a girl on my "for you page" on tiktok.  @kellyamchugh on tiktok a recreation with extremely identical items from my closet style my haul last week i shared my new jersey thrift haul , admittingly in a rush. this week i too the time to think of ways to style these two items for future events: diesel skirt with side zippers see by chloe denim dress indyxed the indyx instagram announced some "trends" to maximize your closet use, by emphasizing accessories to spruce up looks. i went over my own indyx page to see which looks i could make using these tips: scarf as a headpiece scarf to accessorize the purse scarf as a belt tiered skirt layered on skinny pants dress as an extra layer wrap skirt above jeans this vogue bag is adorned with pins.  an enriched sporty look another semi-sporty, tropical...

2-8-2026 MY WEEK: it's not gstaad, but it will do

  my legs are still sore from my first-ever attempt in skiing (not a failure per se, but sib and i agreed we'll be taking lessons soon). my cheeks still carry a red tint of windburn, and the lack of sleep due to late nite socials is evident in my sluggish demeanor.  the obvious highlight of my whole week was escapism from cold to freezing as we took a road trip to holiday valley  for a weekend skifest  organized by the croatian fraternal union. the drive was slow and dark through salted and still snowy highways. the townhouse we stayed in was so  hygge, fitting as i recently shared in a blog post (sib is now an expert in hygge).  the baby hills were as far as what sib and i stomached on our first ever ski endeavor, and we really weren't confident enough. nevertheless, something to cross of the bucket list for 2026. a sport i've never tried before. i was enjoying boyfriend's osha-approved neon look as he skied down slopes. sure, my lashes were frosting ...
