11-30-2025 MY WEEK: i'm thankful for...

  as i close on the chapter that is november, i am truly grateful - this month was insane, in a good way. between spending the start of the month with my family in croatia, then ending the month celebrating friendship during friendsgiving, and mid-month i celebrated me - turning 27, the short days and cold weather seem less depressing when you have such fun and laughter around you, and the sense of togetherness. here's some highlights of this week. it felt like a long, but fulfilling week. the party started on blackout wednesday  when we met with the friend group at cebars  to watch the band loconti . toward the end of the night, i got to chat with bestie nicole's brother, bestie luka . one of the veterans of my annoying q & a's of the blog, that night he was the last word: the last show/movie i watched...  the last waltz the last restaurant i went to... wendy's on 222nd (does this count?) the last holiday i went to...  atlantic city the last item i added to...

11-30-2025 MY INSPO: a bountiful harvest of inspiration

  this past week, inspiration was all around, from gifts i'm excited to wear, to the turbofolk princesses of the 2000s. here's some inspo that caught my attention, and now i'm bringing it to yours. y2k balkan style while my peers in the usa were surrounded by nicole richie and paris hilton, jwow and snooki, britney, destiny's child and xtina - as the naughties style icons with a reputation , i was surrounded by not so different icons, when it comes down to the level of cuntiness.  a bit of backstory - with croatian history being extremely complex with serbs, we're in an entanglement of sorts. very similar, shared most of our lives and upbringing, lot's of our traditions overlap. we're neighbors, friends and cousins with each other, and our languages are similar - we don't need translation. and we cannot forget the homeland war, where this relationship took a dark turn and left these feelings bittered toward our neighbors. i am no historian, and i know th...
