11-23-2025 MY WEEK: falling into fashion

Image
my work week was super hectic, and i was scrambling all over the place (including treading most of northeast ohio and bordering pennsylvania). nevertheless, i think i maintained not looking scrambled.  this week i was coming down off the birthday high but also focusing on the calm before the storm of the upcoming holiday frenzy. spent most days at the yoga studio when i wasn't driving around for work, and i was catching up on my book. catching up with bestie victoria for turkish coffee saturday morning was a sweet spot too, as well as watching the cavs graciously lose wednesday night. we still had a blast (thank you victoria's boyfriend for the tix!), and it helped halfway through the stressful work week. snuck a fit pic in the parking garage sib and i wrapped up the week with well-deserved window shopping in chagrin falls, and we visited a tea store (sib bought some premium green teas), a leather and fur store (amazing coats and hats, and i saw the cutest earmuffs). before ...

11-09-2025 MY FAVES: a glimpse into my parent's library

books of the week now that i've finished the period brain , i delved into my dad's library of books he's gotten at various book promotions at hometown - mainly political and wwii related. so i read about  huda jama , which i won't share much about, as croatian history is incredibly complicated - and i am no poli-sci professional.  up next, another political book about a priest's involvement with croatian freedom fighters before and during our homeland war - called osvit u slobodi  (translated a dawn in freedom). this book is very new, it's not even in goodreads. short, with some great patriotic quotes. i got to learn about some underdog freedom fighters too. my parents used to go to numerous book promotions at our local library, hence so many books at home, left unread. dad prefers the political ones, but my mom and i were never picky. this upcoming book, is a fable poetry book - called život(h)inj(ic)e  (i kinda don't know how i would translate this - but i...

8-17-2025 MY WEEK: the dog days of summer

Image
the fjaka of last week finally subsided, and i went back to yoga, salsa dancing, and even a free local concert (a def leppard tribute band). saturday i did some drunk tubing down cuyahoga river (possibly the best way to get daydrunk), and i even went to our local feast of assumption picnic. i'm catching the last waves of summer, because it could all go away real fast. st anthony's shrine margarita-drunk selfie woodstock? think again this week's looks lots of patterns like glitter, abstracts, and optical illusions followed particularly at work. otherwise, i kept it sporty and utilitarian. shout out to sib's closet! came in clutch! and peep the new shoes i'm not taking off toward the end of the week. they will be worn out. monday  for work i wore a v neck grey top and sparkly urban outfitters disco pants, styled with brown sunglasses, diamond studs, work tote, and doc martens loafers. my coworker told me i was glistening  in the sun. for yoga  i wore a royal blue crop...
