PeSuit and Tie

  oh, the reds and pinks, the heart shaped everything, the velvet and lace... chocolate, cherries, and strawberries, lingerie and aphrodisiac perfumes... that's all around my mind this week. valentine's day is such a cute holiday. second fave if you ask me (halloween is my fave. i like both since candy is quintessential). i put my rose-colored glasses on and went to trader joe's with sib to stock up on florals for the home. my wardrobe consisted of shades of pink and red (more about that below). my work week was marked by valentine's crafts and parties with conversation hearts on cupcakes and in refresher drinks.  sib got creative and upcycled a blouse to match the signature look of vivienne westwood . i'm totally stealing this top in the spring, here's how i'd style it: the v-day weekend was absolute peak tho. boyfriend took me out to a steakhouse dinner where we devoured with pink drinks. saturday was officially our galentine's day  where sib and i wen...

y'all survived the blue monday ? if you're in the midwest, i commiserate - snow storms and staying stuck at home, that's the vibe this week. unfortunately, the mood is getting yuckier with the political happenings in our states, so doomscrolling has been ever so depressing. sib and i managed to go out for a bit - sib needed new walking shoes. what a better excuse to get out the house than some window shopping. also, what a better time than post-holiday season, with leftover returns. we get to ross, our holy grail for great branded shoes for the fraction of the price. scour each size (you never know, maybe my size 7 is hiding among 10). sib found adidas x stella mccartney shoes, i forced her to try them. not it, too big, damn. she found another pair of nike's instead. no stellas in my size. i too, take a peak at shoes my size, find a pair of jessica simpson black wedges. i'll never turn away a pair of jessica simpsons. they're so comfy! besides, i've been in ...

  my two weeks of mediterranean meditation end this week, and i feel well rested, and as many locals say, vrag odnija prišu  (translated to "the devil took away the pressure"). it was fun feeling like both tourist and local, and i feel like my personal style took a fun turn, not worrying about work dress codes, and my strict style guidelines that often border between minimalism and yawn. boyfriend and i visited a store/museum concept croata  showcasing ties with amazing prints and designs. fun fact: croatians invented the tie - the cravat. with my mom, we visited our hometown heritage museum  and got to see the history from prehistoric times to current updates. they had a section on local lifestyle and culture, and as a fashion  blogger  as well as a descendant of this culture, i'm excited and proud to share the excerpt on benkovac folk costume: in the old days, our grandmothers and great-grandmothers made and weaved their own clothes and dyed the...
