  books of the week i am officially halfway through belle du seigneur !  we're fully engulfed into the great love affair, and it's sickly and icky, and deep and ridiculous. how bad can it get? movies of the week now we're fixated on just bratz  content: continuing watching the animated show (the 3-part episodes on their trip to paris is one of the best ones), and the movie fashion pixiez . i need to go to a dark pixie rave asap. the entire movie is so unserious though. my only explanation is that dylan got roofied and then roofied the whole school during the dance. that's my ending to the story. music of the week speaking of fashion pixie raves, here's what i would play if i was the dark pixie dj: pixie hollow and purgatory - alexis munroe goodnight and go - imogen heap the perfect girl - mareux running out of you - keep shelly in athens believe - cher duvet - bȏa violence (rezz remix) - grimes disturbia - rihanna imagining - rina sawayama tarantula - azaelia banks ...

  music of the week when sib and i are driving, lately i've been asking for " something funky " - i'm thinking records spinning, afros and habibi funky beats. something that would be played in laziza  - a restaurant in nyc we got to go to celebrate bestie nicole's birthday. between this musical craving and watching a documentary on the chelsea hotel (mentioned below) - i found the sweet spot that has just enough nyc grunge and funk for my taste -  anthony bourdain's favorite songs .  i need to spin my own records more. my collection is pretty small - some excellent thrift finds (joni mitchell and harry nilsson being a few) - a plethora of slovenian polka - and much of petula clark's discography. i'm one good record find from developing a new collection addiction. toward the end of the week ariana grande  released new songs for her deluxe album of eternal sunshine. 2018/19 ariana will forever be my favorite, but past life  and dandelion  ate up.

  music of the week i haven't been listening or discovering new things, but with the books i've been reading this week, britney spears   and zayn  are on my repeat.
