3-29-2026 MY FAVES: women with balls and reality thoughts

what i'm watching... does it count that i passively watch sib and her hilarious snapchat commentary on gospodin savrÅ¡eni ?  sib and i were not raised on trashy reality tv. we weren't allowed to watch big brother  in the 2010s, never had cable to keep up with the kardashians, we only got a glimpse later on in high school when we had no internet curfew. but we remember it being scandalous  and barely censored. the few reality shows (croatian farma - celebrities are stuck on a farm with no outside world connection) we watched - had sex scenes, uncensored cussing, and the night camera to even catch annoying snores and forbidden fondling.  sib and i laughed during this week's episodes of  gospodin savrÅ¡eni , modesty culture ruined trashy reality tv too. could it be for the best? that a bachelor only kisses a girl 29 episodes in, is absolutely courteous, and here we are clutching our pearls at the other bachelor who keep insinuating he has a boner every episode...

what i'm reading... after the pathetics of prince harry, i resorted to the french nihilistic literature, by reading michel huoellebecq's 'the elementary particles' . the french love taboo, raw gross human carnality. they love controversy in art. think serge gainsbourg and "lemon incest" and whatever that father-daughter relationship was. or gaspar noé's films. granted - i know minimal about this topic, very rarely do i watch films like this (even though they're on my watchlist on letterboxd). french lit? i know a thing or two there. i've read my fair share of charles baudelaire, controversial french poet whom i discovered in high school, then camus, sartre and simone de beauvoir.  let's add huoellebecq into the mix. sib recently read sally rooney's 'intermezzo' and it seemed very similar to the description of 'the elementary particles'. two (half) brothers, one is a hedonist, always on the lookout for a fuck, and the other...

what i'm reading... i finished reading spare  - prince harry's memoir. i have... opinions? i was not impressed with the book. it seemed rush, like it was a hasty justification on harry's end, an urge to explain himself for all he's done. perhaps he felt too victimized? had this book been written a couple years later, with more revision, less of the "red behind my eyes" that he so often mentions in the book, the obvious bitterness toward the royal family could've turned into a more heartfelt and even objective story of growth and closure. don't get me wrong, i love meghan and harry. the hate meghan got was incredibly unjust and the royal silence was deafening for the 'progressive' age. i think them stepping away from the royal life was the smartest and healthiest decision. they chose the option of lesser tragedy, the chose self-care. good for them!  and maybe harry just wanted to finally have the chance to write about himself, as he was always...

what i'm reading... started reading spare  - prince harry's scandalous memoir. i enjoy the few bits on princess diana as a mother, other than that, i am yet to get into the juicier details as i currently weave through harry's privileged youth. what i'm watching... bridgerton season 4 ended fantastically, with a happy ending so tense you can only expect in the bridgerton universe. this was def my fave season. i've been catching up with gospodin savrÅ¡eni  - the croatian version of the bachelor. sib has been playing it on the tv over the week, and i hate to admit i've been following along. i can only microdose reality tv. watching these people act so stupid or psycho makes me anxious. it feels like a modern-day gladiator fight. we put these desperate influencer wannabes into a villa on crete to battle for two dudes - one of them significantly lacking iq! many 20-something year old women attended harry day  at the rock and roll hall of fame  to celebrate the newes...
