i have no business shopping around, as if gas isn't almost $5. but i need to share this crazy haul from this week. i'm starting strong. this one's going to ruffle some feathers. i've been wanting tabis since 2019 hftwt (high fashion twitter) but could not justify $500 maison margiela ones. when i saw a pair of these babies in my local dillards, i blacked out and found myself at the register clutching a pair in my size. as i was paying for these flats i could almost hear my mother's "eugh" reaction. the woman is a patron of everything ladylike and graceful. these would be considered demonic hooves. some people are adrenaline junkies, some are horror fanatics, i find thrill in wearing a controversial piece here and there. let me be clear, i may not be found in complete extremes, i love pieces that are somewhat wearable, avant-garde, semi-appropriate for the occasion, and just plain weird. i like the ugly stuff, the weird stuff. i want your reject pile. the t...

5-10-2026 MY WEEK: rainy days ahead...?

  it sucks that the weather is so unpredictable with the scattered showers, often disrupting our park walks and forcing us to go indoors, and for some reason my car does this weird glitch that it takes us to the mall so we can window shop while getting our daily 10,000 steps. isn't that so annoying?  i became a fashion victim on one of these particular days. okay, i'm blowing it out of proportion, but i've done some damage on the credit card. firstly, we walk thru dick's, and i am not an athleisurewear person, but i was stopped in my tracks when i saw these adidas shorts: i've been looking for some star-spangled pants, jeans in particular, or just a decent pair of shorts to thrift and paint stars on for 4th of july. not because i'm feeling extra patriotic on the 250th birthday of america (far from patriotism i'd say), but because of betty boop . in march i found this adorable tee at the thrift, and while i think betty boop everything is cute, the tee wasn...
