  books of the week finally read tajna krvavog mosta ! the final 200 pages had me literally  jumping out of my seat. it's been a long time since i've read such plot twists.  took a break from serious reading to dig out an archival hieroglyph - a july 2014 j-14  magazine. what a throwback it was! from reading celebrity gossip (one direction cheating scandals? justin and selena? miley feuding with katy perry?), up and coming stars (an interview with a preteen sabrina carpenter), to solving quizzes (are you a belieber or a mahomie? what kind of awesome are you?), it was enjoyable to read material meant for a teenager. i grew up religiously reading the croatian version - ok je ok!  and it was my bible. i learned fashion tricks, i styled my looks based on the teen celebrities of the time, and i loved reading about relationship tips. i am so thankful for this silly material, because even in 2010 and 2014, you could still find some empowerment for girls.  i'm...

  my mom was recently curious about what i'm writing in my blog. when i sent her the link, she responded that her english regressed . that, and last week's embarrassing bow tie selfie inspired me into devolution  of my personal style.  meet the girl who wanted to do the blog first, the one who used ok je ok! , croatian's teen magazine, as the holy bible. i decided to give her her flowers. this girl had more bravery in her style. mind you - these fits were worn proudly in my incredibly small and rural town growing up. also as a treat to myself, i choose some looks and wanted to see how i could reference them today. i hope you have a great laugh as much as i did while taking a trip down memory lane. fall 2012 . i was mid 8th grade, developing the hardest crushes and fangirling heavily over one direction. for the sake of people who i still love - i cropped out the old friends from this group photo. many of these people now have families and lives of their own.  i'm wear...

  i'm supposed to do my nails sometime soon, once i get some free time. my tv glitch nails are holding on, but not for long. i am a sucker for abstract and fun designs (even though i am confined for hours in one spot, and needing a lot of patience). i've had these nails in my folder for some time, and i like the chrome-black-pink color scheme. will be posting once i get them done.
