2-1-2026 MY INSPO: onto number two

Image
celebrating year 2 of PeSuit and Tie  as well as the start of february , lots of twos. according to chinese numerology, good things come in pairs. first, i want to celebrate year two of the blog by revisiting my first ever  inspo post  as well as the  most popular  inspo entry of the past year. seems like indie sleaze is still with us thankfully. in my most popular post, i talk about chloe malle  becoming chief editor of vogue. i recently listened to her  run through with vogue . chloe malle seems critical of whitewashed runways (such as a recent dolce and gabbana show that had no poc's). her approach seems humble and down-to-earth. we know this is far from reality, but i like a sense of hearing what the people want to hear. i still haven't renewed my vogue subscription, and vogue runway being a subscription-based service is deterring me far from giving conde nast the money they are so greedy to take.  to celebrate february , such a short a...

03-16-2025 MY INSPO: community. baller boys and factory girls

since we watched a basketball game on tuesday, i've been more interested in what the cavs players  have been wearing for their tunnel fits. do the cavs have a team stylists? at the moment i can't find any recent names, but courtney mays   was a name associated with many nba players.  my march madness consists of rating these players looks. i invite you to do the same in  this week's  wear or tear  poll. let's see which player is the fashion baller?

03-16-2025 MY FAVES: millennial artists, pop art-ists, and scam artist

Image
music of the week      my  road trip playlist for my pennsylvania trip was curated the moment i booked out hotel stay. this playlist came to use during all the driving we did. besides that, sib and i listened to gaga, old and new, while crossing the ohio-pa border. and on our way back from hershey to pittsburgh, we listened to some very old panic! at the disco songs, with insane titles. i know each song but couldn't tell you what they're called. do you also think that this genre is the reason why millennials are the way they are?      every time i stay at a hotel, i like to check and see if they have profiles and playlists on spotify. i'm currently listening to songs from the kimpton  hotel. before you ask if this is elevator music, it most absolutely could be described as that. but the vibe is impeccable.

3-16-2025 MY WEEK: live from the factories

Image
this week was a true spring awakening. with many of my actual gang members going on various "spring break trips" to the most random locations (colorado, florida, nyc, pennsylvania), a new lady gaga album blasting left and right, the sun shining and air electrified with dopamine, i know i'm not the only one from the cleveland area feeling the relief that this horrid winter finally is at it's end. goodbye single digit temperatures and frostbite fear. welcome back spring of 2009 - when the recession was at it's peak but i am blissfully happy (reverting back to 11 year old self).     VG invited us to a cavs  game on tuesday night before her trip. then boyfriend and i got hotpot and sushi thursday night before his. this week had that excitement all around, everyone prepping and planning.     sib and i decided pittsburgh and hershey was our  spring break getaway. we took a 2 hour road trip to pittsburgh, and we were blessed by the leprechauns ...

3-9-2025 MY INSPO: wear or tear the oscar looks?

Image
the oscars were last week so i spent the week viewing and deciding my fave looks of the night. i listened to the run-through with vogue   podcast  episode recapping the greatest night of hollywood. the hosts (and myself) agreed that the red carpet looks were very classic hollywood. could it be a reflection of our current political times? i noticed an influx in the mermaid style dresses and everyone seemed skinny (are we just going to collectively ignore this?). here's ten of my fave red carpet looks (not in particular order): 1. demi moore elizabeth sparkling in armani privé. i loved her role in the substance , and i wish she would've won for best actress. either way her looks during award season were winners. love the earrings, and would've loved a necklace too.  2. jeff goldblum in prada. it is always refreshing to see men in something other than a classic tux. never forget his runway moment for the prada fall/winter menswear collection. 3. andrew garfield lookin...

in honor of women's history month, i wanted to share my  latest top ten style icons: lady gaga shakira saoirse ronan nadia lee cohen carey mulligan bella hadid leighton meester elle fanning grace kelly kate moss          i could probably name every woman here, but these influential ladies have been on my icon radar lately.       i've mentioned the impact lady gaga has had on me since her the fame monster  album, and i've been aching for the new album.     we'll not dive into the tax fraud scandal shakira  had. when i was a kid, i had a shakira doll and she was a prized possession. another icon whose music i grew up on.     saoirse ronan's  movies are always a must-watch, and lets not forget her shutting up the dudes making self defense jokes during the  graham norton show late last year. brooklyn  and ladybird  are my fave movies btw.     nadia lee cohen's work alw...
