what i'm reading...
i read a digital version of vogue france fw25/26 collections off my libby account (goodbye magazine subscriptions!). here's some fall trends to look out for:

|
move over, dominatrix style: leather is going futuristic. whether in cocoon-like chocolate versions or as a mini cape dress, looks emphasize curves with daring and passion, mixing hardware details and retro charms
|

| lace's heightened femininity and peekaboo allure plays exclusively on transparency and sensuality. a captivating look for facing winter with confidence (and a warm coat). from neo-gothic to immaculate, lace is back, and it's sexy. |

| the luxurious softness of fur, without the cruelty. houses are leaning in on creativity to offer enveloping and ultra-realistic faux furs. more than a simple notion of a trend, artificial furs project self-confident sophistication while also serving as the perfect anti-freeze allies, season after season. |

| romantic yet hardly nostalgic, the bow has emerged as the season's star embellishment. variously used in 3d on a collar or pockets, in maxi or mini version, it accentuates the looks. |

| orange, blood red, bright yellow, flaming red, baby pink: it's out with the old color rues and in with a new kind of chromatic experimentation. so long, winter neutrals and quiet luxury - color is back on top and making a major comeback, shaking up the old codes with bold blocks of brights. |

| timeless yet perennially new leopard print takes pride of place as a wardrobe staple. worn as a total look or as a playful mix and match, it makes an ideal foil for graphic experimentation and a message of self-affirmation. |

| once reserved for the great indoors, homewear is breaking out settling into evening wears. couture pajamas and plush or satiny peignoirs convey sophistication and nonbalance, infusing the silhouette with chic, a sense of intimacy and a dash of derision. |
 |
sober shades like anthracite and black, with clean cuts and flattering silhouette, tailoring continues to conquer women's wardrobes with the return of the skirt-suit and suit jackets with an untra-accentuated waist. a subtle show of strength.

i just started reading the debutante divorcee - another chic lit piece penned by plum sykes. chapter one transported me to tropical beaches and impossible perfect hotels on some spanish coast.
what i'm listening to...
in honor of mother's day, here are some mothers that slay the charts. honorable mention for sib (?): mother - meghan trainor
got 'til it's gone - janet jackson (ft joni mitchell, q-tip)
piano in the dark - brenda russell
eurosummer - zara larsson, shakira
kopija - lana jurčević
music - madonna
what i'm watching...
boyfriend was super eager to end the week on a real rasta note - watching reincarnated, a documentary about snoop dogg's rastafarian journey. we need to respect snoop dogg's various side hustles. like, he collaborated with martha stewart, made a rasta album, and even collaborated with a serbian one-hit wonder. that didn't save her from being forgotten. i can't even recollect her name.
