11-1-2026 MY WEEK: a beatnik for halloween?!

 i hope everyone had a great halloween, with a chance of wearing the best, craziest costume. sib and i racked our brains, we always strive for the most affordable, yet fun option. fiancé, on the other hand, always wants to do something couples related. 

sib and i both chose to go as lady g, different eras naturally. fiancé was my skeletal beau from born this way.

this week's looks


i wore full beatnik inspo almost all week long as an homage to last week's inspo, and i guess subtle costume?!

on monday i wore this knit blue sweater and black jeans, leather satchel, silver stud earrings and blue wiry sunnies, slingback flats.
















tuesday. black v neck dress, cardigan with white stripes, silver flats, satchel, grey beret, and i added sib's valentino sunnies.





















wednesday i wore a tory burch striped polo, pinstripe slacks, manolo blahnik kitten heels, a cream cardigan, wiry sunnies, black crossbody purse, and simple chord necklace.












thursday i wore a pinstripe blouse and high waisted cropped jeans, loafers, mini yellow sunnies and a black leather crossbody.

















friday i wore a hannah montana costume for work. blonde wig, green tunic, 2000s low rise jeans, sib's go-go boots, scarf and necklace, calvin klein jacket, and coach crossbody, and a chain belt. 





saturday afternoon we did some last-minute errands before halloween dress up. a halloween sweatshirt was paired with halston pants, crossbody bag, oscar de la renta sunnies, greed adidas, black crossbody purse and skeleton earrings.















halloween night costume: lady gaga born this way skeleton couple. black straight leg pants, platform boots, bow tie, fitted blazer and sib's bershka blouse. i added a pink sprayed ponytail wig, and bubble gum in my pocket. 













on sunday we went to the cemetery for all souls day and visited a few graves of loved ones, taking a family friend with us. i wore a striped tee and baggy pants, adidas sneakers, and sojos sunnies.









what am i looking forward to this week?

we're seeing more friends and family this week, with some plans already in place. i'm excited for weekend events, and our calendar is filling up by the minute.

  it was a feast-full of a week my friends, and sib and i treated ourselves frequently with eating out, as did boyfriend and i. while i enjoy cooking every so often, i admit i have no desire to, and will always rather eat out. i understand the health and economic benefits of cooking at home, but i'll never say to no to tacos at barrio , ramen at ichiraku , udon noodles at asian feastery, or all you can eat sushi at  kintaro . same goes for breakfast - i'll indulge in the low-key diner vibes of manhattan deli  or go for the continental buffet after church at concord family restaurant .  a very cat-oriented week it was too. on our late-night walk, we had a shadow follow us, a cat kind enough to let us pet it a million times. we also participated in a kitten kanuudle  fundraiser with amazing raffles (neither of us won). sib and i don't own a cat due to allergies, but maybe someday we'd say yes to adopting, maybe, just maybe... sib and i were the youngest attendees ...

11-30-2025 MY INSPO: a bountiful harvest of inspiration

  this past week, inspiration was all around, from gifts i'm excited to wear, to the turbofolk princesses of the 2000s. here's some inspo that caught my attention, and now i'm bringing it to yours. y2k balkan style while my peers in the usa were surrounded by nicole richie and paris hilton, jwow and snooki, britney, destiny's child and xtina - as the naughties style icons with a reputation , i was surrounded by not so different icons, when it comes down to the level of cuntiness.  a bit of backstory - with croatian history being extremely complex with serbs, we're in an entanglement of sorts. very similar, shared most of our lives and upbringing, lot's of our traditions overlap. we're neighbors, friends and cousins with each other, and our languages are similar - we don't need translation. and we cannot forget the homeland war, where this relationship took a dark turn and left these feelings bittered toward our neighbors. i am no historian, and i know th...

11-30-2025 MY WEEK: i'm thankful for...

  as i close on the chapter that is november, i am truly grateful - this month was insane, in a good way. between spending the start of the month with my family in croatia, then ending the month celebrating friendship during friendsgiving, and mid-month i celebrated me - turning 27, the short days and cold weather seem less depressing when you have such fun and laughter around you, and the sense of togetherness. here's some highlights of this week. it felt like a long, but fulfilling week. the party started on blackout wednesday  when we met with the friend group at cebars  to watch the band loconti . toward the end of the night, i got to chat with bestie nicole's brother, bestie luka . one of the veterans of my annoying q & a's of the blog, that night he was the last word: the last show/movie i watched...  the last waltz the last restaurant i went to... wendy's on 222nd (does this count?) the last holiday i went to...  atlantic city the last item i added to...
