 this week (and according to sib, all month) we celebrate sib's birthday! i was excited to give sib the platform again. if you know me personally, you know that sib and i are a package deal, close enough to be twins, yet so different we complement each other in every aspect. sib was excited to do a brief interview and share some of her fave looks this year. happy birthday sib!

below are some of sib's hand-picked best of the best looks of the year so far. 
shocking morning!
bridgerton meets how to lose a guy in 10 days. sib finally found a beautiful buttery yellow after obsessing over the iconic andie anderson look. paired with the most feminine steve madden ballet-style heels, vintage lace gloves and vintage purse, sib curled her bangs to perfection and quadrilled the night away for the mix: summer soiree (bridgerton themed). 

how did we get here?
for the louis tomlinson concert at jacobs pavilion, sib wore our max mara abstract bodysuit and straight led jeans. added a patent leather purse and leather sandals. bright and beautiful!

white and blue
a simple and effective look for an all-day 4th of july festivity. white tank and an adidas maxi skirt were the way to go for humidity, heat, bonfires and late night temp drops. 

siren song
a bright contrast against the deep blue sea, sib was adorned in the best color combo: pink and orange. hibiscus pattern orange and pink bikini was paired with a cover-up with pink and orange giant dots. 

teacher's pet
sib works as a teacher for our local croatian school, and every may, the end of the school year is celebrated with a mother's day recital. to match the typical mother's day dress code, sib wore her own upcycled purple halter top, banana republic cotton midi skirt in sage green, and the ballet heels once again! she meshed well with her own garden.

  it was a feast-full of a week my friends, and sib and i treated ourselves frequently with eating out, as did boyfriend and i. while i enjoy cooking every so often, i admit i have no desire to, and will always rather eat out. i understand the health and economic benefits of cooking at home, but i'll never say to no to tacos at barrio , ramen at ichiraku , udon noodles at asian feastery, or all you can eat sushi at  kintaro . same goes for breakfast - i'll indulge in the low-key diner vibes of manhattan deli  or go for the continental buffet after church at concord family restaurant .  a very cat-oriented week it was too. on our late-night walk, we had a shadow follow us, a cat kind enough to let us pet it a million times. we also participated in a kitten kanuudle  fundraiser with amazing raffles (neither of us won). sib and i don't own a cat due to allergies, but maybe someday we'd say yes to adopting, maybe, just maybe... sib and i were the youngest attendees ...

11-30-2025 MY INSPO: a bountiful harvest of inspiration

  this past week, inspiration was all around, from gifts i'm excited to wear, to the turbofolk princesses of the 2000s. here's some inspo that caught my attention, and now i'm bringing it to yours. y2k balkan style while my peers in the usa were surrounded by nicole richie and paris hilton, jwow and snooki, britney, destiny's child and xtina - as the naughties style icons with a reputation , i was surrounded by not so different icons, when it comes down to the level of cuntiness.  a bit of backstory - with croatian history being extremely complex with serbs, we're in an entanglement of sorts. very similar, shared most of our lives and upbringing, lot's of our traditions overlap. we're neighbors, friends and cousins with each other, and our languages are similar - we don't need translation. and we cannot forget the homeland war, where this relationship took a dark turn and left these feelings bittered toward our neighbors. i am no historian, and i know th...

11-30-2025 MY WEEK: i'm thankful for...

  as i close on the chapter that is november, i am truly grateful - this month was insane, in a good way. between spending the start of the month with my family in croatia, then ending the month celebrating friendship during friendsgiving, and mid-month i celebrated me - turning 27, the short days and cold weather seem less depressing when you have such fun and laughter around you, and the sense of togetherness. here's some highlights of this week. it felt like a long, but fulfilling week. the party started on blackout wednesday  when we met with the friend group at cebars  to watch the band loconti . toward the end of the night, i got to chat with bestie nicole's brother, bestie luka . one of the veterans of my annoying q & a's of the blog, that night he was the last word: the last show/movie i watched...  the last waltz the last restaurant i went to... wendy's on 222nd (does this count?) the last holiday i went to...  atlantic city the last item i added to...
