6-14-2026 MY FAVES: captured in the moment, mom's greatest hits, magazines only
what i’m watching…
twas the night before my flight and i was too antsy to sleep. i also wanted to stay up to watch creations come to life in sib’s sweatshop. so i watched bill cunningham new york. a quirky documentary about the legendary street photographer bill cunningham, his behind the scenes process for his weekly article in the new york times, and just a profile on his childlike character. it was so adorable and fun. his humble work ethic is one you do not see in the swarm of influencers.
bill’s famous sunday spreads
on the plane, i attempted to watch charli xcx’s film the moment. it’s a mockumentary-style film in production with a24. i liked the graphics separating certain parts of the film, and the dude next to me kept looking over. seizure warning for sure. i never finished it because i kept falling asleep.

what i'm listening to...
this week, in honor of her birthday, mom was the playlist director for the blog. mom is really into croatian patriotic songs, such as neka niko ne dira u moj mali dio svemira by thompson, poljubi zemlju and nocas cemo zemlji ko materi reci by miso kovac. two big croatian names are found with some other household names on this playlist: oliver dragojevic with his iconic cesarica, doris dragovic and malo mi za sricu triba, still in top 20 of croatian faves, gabby novak with her ballad nada and neda ukraden with zora je. mom specifically asked cesarica to be the first song, and zora je at the end. what a wonderful curator! mom is very religious, and she wanted to add ne boj se jer ja sam s tobom by luka balvan. if you've been in croatian mass before, chances are you've heard this playing. mom also likes a few english speaking songs, fret not. we got johnny cash and his ring of fire (right after the religious song), u2 and i still haven't found what i'm looking for and the creme de la creme, you raise me up by josh groban.
if you want to listen to my mom's faves, check out this playlist
