12-14-2025 MY FAVES: christmas classics galore
books of the week
i've been slacking, but here and there i try to read a chapter or two of belle du seigneur. most of my time this week was spent in crafting, shopping, baking - or watching christmas movies. more about that below!
the author spends his time analyzing the character to the minute detail - and currently much of the focus is on adrien deume - described as what you would imagine your most annoying coworker.
movies of the week
my christmas comfort movies are of rankin bass production. never heard? of course you did. frosty the snowman, santa claus is coming to town and rudolph - the stop motion claymations are them. we watched santa claus is coming to town, frosty, and the little drummer boy this week.
other christmas movies that we watched are goofy ones that you can keep on for background:
ice age: a mammoth christmas
saving santa (on tubi for free)
barbie in the nutcracker (my absolute all time fave)
the santa claus brothers (on youtube for free)
od božića do božića - marko tolja, tonči huljić
božić je - tonika dream team, oliver dragojević
yabba-dabba yuletide - the brian setzer orchestra
let it snow! let it snow! let it snow! - lena horne
and if you're feeling bored by the yuletide carols, here's some other songs i saved this week:
licky (work it out) - larry tee, princess superstar (herve uk radio edit)
damascus - gorillaz, omar souleyman, yasiin bey
valley girl - frank zappa, moon zappa
he can only hold her - amy winehouse
joystick - dazz band
