my thought instantly went toward something flowy and feminine, like this silk armani top. paired with a flowy brown skirt, longchamp vinyl tote embellished with a silk scarf, and zara sandals, comfortable and beautiful.
trend highlight: color blocking
color blocking was one of my fave trends for spring, but in particular a color combination reminding me of hibiscus plants and my childhood: pink and orange.
when i was a kid, i had a pink and orange journal, with mod patterns and a cartoon drawing of a dog. the 2000s had some amazing color combinations for girls: teal and brown, the classic pink and purple, pink and brown... each girl could name her 2000s combo. mine was pink and orange.
i wanted to be and represent this color. here's some subtler, grown up versions, used with items from my closet:
