9-7-2025 MY INSPO: exclusive - sib's style analysis

 in the big 25 we celebrate sib's first quarter - her own big 25 birthday. and as the perfect big sister i am, i honor a style analysis to sib.

sib and i can proudly say our sisterhood is symbiotic - i got the car, closet, and money. she cooks, cleans, and sews. we also fill each other's gaps, in a yin-yang kid of way. in the fashion world i enjoy taking risks, but in general i am more reserved. sib is the one that takes more risks in life, and is more extroverted. style-wise, sib is sophist-minimalist. she doesn't need to take fashion risks when a few staples and accessories, and a perfect shoe do the trick.

this week in the inspo segment, i interview sib about her essentials and inspirations in fashion and life. i also share some of my favorite looks sib concocted this year. 

the historic photo of sib - referred to as cool julie. the stance, the smile, the attitude and the fit! cami, bubble skirt with polka dots, and an anklet!? the eternal bang and no need for a blowout when sib naturally had it. sib, when are you recreating this look?

sib's looks of the big 25

strawberry festival. sib wears a mini black tee and white maxi skirt, alongside the vlajternativa tote bag - two latter items from cro. shoes not pictured are maroon vans. red-white-black is a fun color combination, i've never seen it go wrong.

bestie victoria's birthday. sib is wearing my teal crop top, and jeans i think my coworker gave. tropical purse and simple jewelry. she's wearing pink gianni bini kitten sandals.

carrie bradshaw meets myscene.

running errands. sib claims this top is this summer's staple, a linen white tank, flowy. paired with equally flowy cream pants, and red ballerina flats (brand new and thrifted!). a look perfectly elevated for a fancy dinner or a run to the farmer's market. 

a vision in silver, for the great gatsby mix at the museum. i was in vermont at the time but urged sib to go all out for a perfect roaring 20s moment. sib's look did not disappoint. a necklace as headpiece, our mom's vintage silver gown, and gianni bini bling heels. sib borrowed a metal mini clutch purse with encrusted gemstones boyfriend bought me in florida last year. the ghost of zelda fitzgerald, or perhaps joan of arc cuntified?

cousin's grad party. while my wedges kept getting stuck in the mud, sib stayed poised and polished. she wears a pale blue bodysuit, a cream maxi skirt borrowed from me, and wider wedges. pale, but not ghastly.

for the first spring night out with out besties, sib wears a tube top she repurposed, same cream flowy pants seen a few photos ago, and lacquered brown gucci heels. 

one thing sib loves in the summertime, is a good tube top. here she is again for the kesha concert, wearing a charcoal one from the brand house, which we bought in cro, and to sleaze the look, she added a worn leather belt on the top. she is wearing low-rise booty shorts, and not pictured for shoes were doc martens loafers. simplified grunginess for a humid night, and muddy lawn.

for bestie vic's birthday in february, sib shows off her body subtly and tastefully. sib wears a black crop top from forever 21 with gemstones on the hem, black velvet maxi skirt, steve madden platform boots, and layered a white button down with a big leather jacket. the feminine sillhouette contrasting with the boxiness of the jacket makes an all-black look pop out.

for the accelerate leadership conference, sib wore a pink sweater dress and doc martens loafers, and not pictured - her purse is a betsey johnson crossbody with pink hearts. 

finally, for yugo night at the slovenian center, sib wears a green sweater top and a blouse underneath, with jeans she repurposed. the photo cuts out the best part of the jeans. nevertheless, sib coordinates well with the bathroom.
