9-14-2025 MY WEEK: styled by sib

another warm week blesses us - no rain, just the ideal high 70s and cool evenings. we started the week strong with fancy birthday dinner at the marble room for sib. she specifically demanded steak as her ideal birthday dinner. i complied, they offer some amazing sushi. it was a fun excuse to dress a bit up. 

sib, bestie victoria, croatian bestie matea and myself tried out rock climbing in the coolest rock climbing studio called climb cleveland. three floors, and a basement with weights, pool, books, vertical and horizontal climbing walls. overwhelming, but exciting! we need to revisit, and gain more upper body strength.

to ail our sore arms, we all stopped for drinks at the treehouse down the road. 

cocktails of the week were: dragonfruit (marble room) - dragon fruit infused tequila, lime soda. smoke on the beach (the treehouse) - pineapple tequila, mescal, pineapple juice, lime, agave.

on saturday, sib and i tried ice cream at cibik's dairy island. you can submit your own specialty sundae to be chosen as flavor of the season. the winner gets free ice cream for a season. both sib and i submitted our own creamy concoction ideas. 

we also discovered punderson state park and took a walk down the iroquois trail. our new walking game is finding shapes for the alphabet. today we got to q and struggled finding r. 

this week's looks

 this week i gave sib the gift of styling me. or was this a gift to me? y'all know i love a good challenge. so i asked sib to style a few looks for the week. the only limitation was no heels for work.

sib found most inspiration from anthropologie - as we recently visited the store, and she found lots of looks on the mannequins phenomenal. sib believes that the colorful and whimsy stores are now hard to be found, as this one presented with more original yet timeless looks. 

here's some of these looks on me throughout the week:

monday i wore this aviator-like look at work: ralph lauren vintage jacket, rachel zoe top, cropped jeans, zara sandals. and new sunnies i bought over the weekend at urban outfitters.

for sib's birthday dinner, i wore this knit off shoulder top, grey pants, gucci cherry heels, kate spade purse. peep sib in the background: asymmetrical knit top from cro, my new sunnies, wide pants, and a silk scarf as belt (inspired by an anthropologie look she saw).

tuesday for work i wore a zara tee, a pastel argyle cardigan, and jeans. not pictured are white loafers and work bag. i wore the jewelry sib chose too: teacup and saucer earrings, and vivienne westwood necklace. 

wednesday i wore this look: sib told me that vest tops were extremely popular when she visited parents in croatia this spring. chrome jewelry galore, no fit pic though.

thursday i wore the look sib got inspired by brats: tokyo a go go dolls. black headband, distressed knit top and maxi skirt. fisherman loafers, sib's sunglasses suggestion were the versace ones, but i can't remember where i misplaced them, so i chose my newest pair instead.

friday for work i wore the layered ted and black combo look. scarf as belt, red flats, black tank and armani collezioni jeans.

for rock climbing and drinks i wore another black tank, leggings, skechers (and climbing shoes), and cream sublime sweatshirt 

saturday i wore this sporty look for brunch with boyfriend. puma top, flared sweatpants, headband and my skechers.

sunday sib gives me a chance to skip the final day of her style challenge as we needed to run errands and we had already slept in. so i donned an all black fit but accessorized for grocery shopping, library run, and homegoods window shopping. 

what am i looking forward to next week?

i got lots on my agenda, this weather got me feeling ambitious. i'm filling my calendar up with potential social events aka opportunities to overdress. sib and i want to return to kava sol for some cute events like open mic night or trivia. i booked sib and i tickets to see a silent film at the museum of art. boyfriend wants to check out a gem and jewelry show at the fairgrounds, and i'm going to the kitten kanuudle - a fundraiser for the local shelter. there's some local book fairs and flea markets i put on the calendar for the weekend i'll try and go to... stay tuned!
