8-31-2025 MY WEEK: season is coming to a close

 the final hues of summer got sib and i in a confused mood. it feels like spring, summer and fall at once, in true ohio fashion. we still feel guilty about looking forward to fall, but officially - labor day is here, sib's birthday is around the corner, and the layers are coming out from the back of the closets, as you can see, they showed up quite a lot in this week's fits.

i went with my work besties to a guardians baseball game, and indulged in cheesy fries, diet pepsi and ice cream. 

sib and i are exploring geocaching for our afternoon walks. treasures will be reported soon, hopefully.

the geauga county fair, is this weekend. we had some wonderful weather on saturday, and got our corn dog fix. the corn dogs are no longer endangered. sib and i learned about traditional rug hooking, and the ladies have a guild (which is active during work hours), but sib and i might look into videos, sourcing some linen, and utilizing some old strips of unused clothes to make some handmade rugs. new fall/winter hobby?!

this week's finale of august was harboritaville in fairport harbor. piña coladas galore, and leis in any color possible. i need to step up my hawaii t shirt game. 

looks of the week

my trusty cardigans, flannel shirts, and lightweight jackets are coming out. mornings are cooler, and evening walks can be uncomfortable. this is the time of year where layering is key. every month, i think, i unintentionally add different sunglasses. peep these oversized fendi ones sib took from our mom last summer...

monday for work i wore a snakeskin top and brown flared pants, with doc martens fisherman mary janes.

grocery trip constituted of necessary layers (unstable temps outside and freezers in the store), so i wore my strand bookstore sweatshirt, leggings and pumps, with tote and sunnies if and when the sun did pop up.

tuesday i pulled a day-to-night look, wearing for both work and baseball game a vintage indians t shirt (controversial but only 1 of 2 baseball tees i own), old navy straight jeans, and swapped my long champ tote for calvin klein leather shoulder bag. i borrowed sib's oversized fendi sunnies. they were the moment.

wednesday for work i wore a pleated whimsy tank with a knit black cardigan, capri-style wide legged jeans, and simple loafer flats. for our afternoon walk and ice cream, i wore a ralph lauren white tee, leggings, and vans flannel shirt. fendi sunnies, and skechers

thursday i kind of channeled that googie style at work with a geometrical greyscale knit top, denim calvin klein skirt, polka dot tights (it was cold enough - yes!), loafer flats, and a black blazer garnished with vintage pins.

boyfriend and i got a quick dinner at our favorite sushi spot, and i was feeling under the weather, the weather was icky, but i needed comfort (food). csu sweatshirt, flared sweatpants, and a good shoe with accessories.

friday i wore two variations of the same fit. for work i had a simple black jacket, fendi sunnies, and my long champ tote. for afternoon errands, i lost the jacket, swapped the sunnies for the complimentary blue ones, and swapped the bag.

saturday for the county fair i wore a simple white tee, bellbottoms from american eagle, cardigan (was frequently on and off), thrifted pastel coach bag, silver and pearl necklaces, sib's versace sunnies, puma palermos

sunday i gave it my jimmy buffett best. cowboy hat and jeans gifted by bestie nicole, fendi sunnies, hawaiian t shirt (from the men's section at walmart), puma palermo, in the background my thrifted tropical purse. 

what am i looking forward to next week?

it's sib's birthday celebration on friday and we'll be going to the museum for the mix. this month's theme: 90s homecoming.
