6-1-2025 MY WEEK: road trips and reunions

 i kind of abruptly stopped last week's retelling of my niagara trip. but it's a new week and it's only fair to share the whole week in full, right? 

my monday was spent this time in a sunny niagara and boyfriend and i fulfilled our desire to embark on the maid of the mist and it's not just misty, it's wet. with the sun this time shining upon us, the whole trip was redeemed just by this day. 

before tat, we got some breakfast bagels and iced coffee at a local breakfast spot, and then we walked to the goat island and saw the nikola tesla monument. we had lunch at the rainforest café, a first for both of us. it was okay, definitely a kid's sensation.

the rest of the week felt like it went by fast with having an extra day off from work, and we ended the week on a high note: a mini remaining 6 reunion on friday and lunch with old coworkers. 

looks of the week

how does one describe the confusing grossness of gray and the kind of warm weather we are having? my closet is confused. i brought back out the tights because i needed to wear some skirts and dresses, and i'm keeping some sweatshirts as back up. i think because the immense traveling and hiking my left foot is giving me a hard time so i'm playing some kind of musical chairs with my shoe collection to see what pains me and what doesn't. so far, i am losing faith in my once trusty skechers, and the rise of the doc martens flats seem to be bothering much less. 

i busted out the new shorts from the forever 21 closeout sale for monday, and wore the sleeveless turtle neck sweater and my skechers. me and my boy tesla over here.

tuesday felt like a monday, and for back to work i wore a vince sweater dress i thrifted in nyc, polka dot tights and a cardigan and flats. for my evening blogging in the library, i felt it only would fit if i wore something one would in the 2000s in an internet café. red tank top, flared cropped jeans, zip up jacket and my skechers. the tote matched up quite well. 

wednesday i wore my mom's vintage paisley black and white blouse, and a vintage talbots floral skirt. mix and matching those prints. in the evening we ran some errands and stopped back at the library to finish up my presentation and do some daily blog editing, and i wore this chagrin falls sweatshirt and corduroy pants. 

thursday for work i wore a gray t shirt, red midi skirt, gray long cardigan and my doc flats.

we treated ourselves with a walk and ice cream in the evening and i wore my andy warhol banana striped t shirt, sweat pants and a bright red jacket. 

friday for work i wore a striped grey pencil skirt and  a black blouse, shoes chosen were converse. 

for our bestie hangout i wore a thrifted graphic top, skater skirt from american eagle, and leather shoulder purse. sib did a blow out for my hair, and not pictured were the doc flats.

saturday for lunch with old coworkers i went classy with a twist of casual. a second hand striped blue blouse with y old ripped skinny jeans. some jewelry for finishing touch and not pictured here was my leather jacket (no comment on this weather), converse and sunnies. peep the macaron socks.

sunday for my library day of editing my blog drafts i wore a sleeveless turtle neck, flowy pants i bought last summer in cro, and a sturdy jacket because it may be sunny, but the first day of june still carries a bitter coolness. margiela tote, rings, and sunnies for accessories. 

what am i looking forward to next week?

the weather is supposed to finally match the month and i am craving for a lazy day by the pool. my coworker has a birthday party on friday so we might hit some margaritaville themed food truck and festival, then saturday the grad party season starts.
