lenny kravitz is my style and musical muse of the week, and this week's inspo section is dedicated to his fashion and style. brief, but still impactful. here's some songs that have been bringing back funk this spring:

books of the week

not necessarily a book, but was purchased at the local library book sale, b-guided> is  a magazine based in  barcelona that shares newest hot spots and names in architecture, fashion, nightlife, and restaurant world, as well as music festivals and bars. this was a fall 2003 edition, and it was super cool to see this little time capsule of retro-futurism in the early 2000s in europe. technology and architecture loved minimalism and organic, but not the kind of minimalism of dullness you see nowadays (think millennial grey). there were old diesel and zara ads that invoked more emotion and life that ads nowadays (think skechers ai ad still plaguing vogue).

speaking of vogue, i just completed reading the april edition of vogue adria sib brought back from croatia for me. it's currently my fave edition of any vogue. and it is solely because it's balkan.

finally, this week i will be beginning h.p. lovecraft's great tales of horror which i also snagged at the local book sale. keeping it gothic and spooky this spring.
