2-2-2025 FAVES OF THE WEEK: eusexua at the plaza
MUSIC OF THE WEEK
FKA twigs' new album Eusexua has been on repeat in the household. In the beginning of the week, I listened to songs from and inspired by the movie Party Monster. Can you tell I am a sucker for NYC's music and art scenes? No matter the decade.
Hozier's version of Do I Wanna Know? was played at yoga on Saturday. It's been on my tiktok for the past month. It was a sign to finally save it on my Spotify.
I watched Eloise at the Plaza on Friday since boyfriend wanted a "Christmas movie without the Christmas vibes".
I also finally watched Meet me in the Bathroom, which I've been wanting to watch it for a while. I can predict the soundtrack being on repeat this week...
I usually don't watch a lot of TV shows, but we've been keeping H2O: Just Add Water, and Pawn Stars, on as background noise.
Boyfriend, sib, and I are delving into Daisy Jones and the Six, finally. I am predicting these songs and the overall aesthetic as future inspo as well...

BOOKS OF THE WEEK
I just finished Style Diaries: World Fashion from Berlin to Tokyo and it was a fun read. I am disappointed in the lack of black femme representation. It was almost super diverse, though. It was cool reading about bloggers who I used to follow when I first started social media because they were popular on Pinterest, WeHeartIt and early era Instagram. I did some digging on where the bloggers are today. I was a bit sad seeing how some really cool faces simply disappeared. This week I am starting a new book, Svjedok Pokojnih (in English: The Cleaner). I don't even remember how I got this book, back when I was still living in Croatia. It's a crime novel about a crime scene cleaner, and her own mysterious personal history resurfacing. It's in Croatian so I am happy to do some refreshing of the language.
