my bridal bootcamp consists of exercise but also crafting. if i'm trying to have the wedding of my dreams, i need to be thrifty. without spoiling some ideas, i'm diy-ing certain small things that could be transported to croatia with minimal damage. for our engagement party, i diy-ed a sign with a lyric from the beaches' last girls at the party song, that stuck with me since i saw them opening for louis tomlinson:

if i'm not sourcing material and losing my mind over things i forgot to order, i have been tending to my nintendogs lately. it's proven to be therapeutic.on friday sib and i dolled up into our royal best for the mix: summer soiree, with a bridgerton inspired theme.

i had a blast finally "officially" celebrating our engagement this weekend. it was a weekend all my best friends were in town and free, so we had them over for drinks, snacks, homemade limoncello shots (courtesy of my future bother in law). the girls took their photography and documentary duties seriously, with bestie morg and her digital cam, and bestie victoria wielding the vintage video camera. i was once again bartendress, this time pouring dangerously heavy shots and making pornstar martinis for all who craved.

this week's looks
the end of week was filled with really fun skirts, from abstract prints to fringes. start and mid-week was meant for comfort and casual settings.
monday work. bellbottom jeans, i told ya tee, steve madden sandals, uniqlo bag.
tuesday: earth tones only! a tan pinstripe blouse, uniqlo bag, and brown trousers. birkenstocks and an abstract pattern chiffon-esque scarf as a belt.
wednesday work. a fun abstract maxi skirt, and a simple 2000s top, uniqlo bag, and my loafers.
we went to yoga then ice cream with bestie victoria, which turned out to be dishing the tea, and a much needed catch up. i wore a zara striped crop top with bralette under, and high waisted yoga sweatpants. uniqlo bag and my pandora bracelet.

thursday i was doing a yoga group at work, so i wore a black graphic band tee and yoga capris from cro, and borrowed sib's new chrome slingback flats, alongside my trusty longchamp tote. we met up with bestie vic for evening walk and ice cream in the name of friendship and self-care. i kept the same fit, just swapped shoes and sunnies. didn't bring a bag, just tossed everything i needed into sib's tote.friday for work i wore a ribbed knit top and ocelot print midi skirt. steve madden sunnies, leather bracelet, slingback flats, longchamp tote.
mix: summer soiree. i wore sib's halter top, and a silk bias cut silver skirt and sky-hi leather and wooden wedges. my purse was a dusty rose fossil crossbody with brass hardware. i thrifted the vintage gloves and added my silver tiara i got when i was a flower girl 20-something years ago. peep the teacup and saucer earrings, and i added a huge violet statement necklace.
saturday last minute prepping for the party. i wore a corset tank and jorts, betsey johnson crossbody, bangles galore, and flip flops.
saturday nite engagement party! i wore this vintage ensemble i recently thrifted. it had the perfect sparkle and shimmer with the tassels. jessica simpson wedges for extra fanciness while running around, but also not wanting to die in heels in my own home. fiancé laughed at my bangles because you can def hear me through the crowded home.
hangover cure provided through brunch with fiancé's family. i wore a "future mrs beverly" tee a work bestie gave me as a gift, and i borrowed sib's white mini skirt. back with the jessica simpsons, and i wore a ribbon in my hair. valentino sunnies to disguise the bags under my eyes, and betsey johnson crossbody, the pink hearts were perfect.
what am i looking forward to next week?
i've got a few more birthdays next week, and some fun croatian events. recovery is necessary though, so i plan to get some rays by the pool, bike to work, and walk to yoga, planning on checking out a local studio near us.
