12-21-2025 MY WEEK: queue christmas wrapping by the waitresses, please

i want to share my indyx wrapped results, which analyzed how much of my closet was utilized, what was worn the most, etc.

this week i got my hair done at bestie morgan's. my inspo was bella hadid's blonde look. the moment i saw her new look, i knew i needed that hairstyle. end of year hair is all set✓

here's a quick story on how this grinch (bought a) stole (for) christmas. sib and i went window shopping tuesday night. wanted to look for last minute decor ideas, and gift inspiration for last minute gifts. sib was searching for holiday dish towels and bedding, only to be met with the pink and reds of valentine's day. woah there... items we did find had nothing to do with our initial search: two christian lacroix faux fur stoles. sib and i gushed. black and white - perfect for our new years fits! i would get the white one, and sib would get the black one. and it would match so nicely with our black and white north face ushankas we got last year. how cute would it be for two sibs to walk around like yin and yang?!

now, i cannot spoil what sib and i will be wearing for new year's. all i can say is that we will look dramatically good, especially with these stoles. okay, maybe we'll be a bit cold. but we need to ring in 2026 in our silver screen best! until new then, let's style my haul:

on thursday i accompanied sib to her croatian school party, and we matched in christmas sweaters and jeans - and had a blast making fun of the kids and eating more cookies than we should've. the wine was cheap, and the headache lasted for a full day after.
my work had an ugly christmas sweater themed holiday party, and i am so thankful for boyfriend's mom sending me a reel of a girl making a wreath diy sweater. it was the best idea!  you pin/hot glue/tape a garland horizontally, from one arm to another, then just make an O with your arms. i got sparkly tinsel-like garland from the dollar store and made bows out of construction paper (they fell off by the end of the night). i may recreate this again in the future, adding lights and baubles. still, this year i got 2nd place! my work besties and i went to the local christmas bar after for festive drinks, snacks and spilling work tea.
saturday we celebrated bestie luka. here's a note from luka. happy birthday!

who is your hero? liam gallagher
what is on your nightstand? oasis - definitely maybe, the record version
what tiny wonder guides your biggest decisions? i am in control no matter what
what is life's greatest mystery? why don't unfiltered cigarettes make a comeback?
what are your daily non-negotiables? nicotine, nicotine, nicotine, and mad men
who is one person you'd love to work/create with? noel gallagher
what would you say to your 18 year old self? it's not as bad as it seems
what are you wearing? banana republic top, levi's jeans, adidas shoes.
besides getting a scoop from the brain of bestie luka, the posse had a great time singing at the hoffbrauhaus, eating sauerkraut balls, and drinking beer (not me, ladies, i enjoyed the mulled wine), and singing free bird - twice.
a vision of friendship - what the final supper could've been

we wrapped up the weekend by enjoying the nutcracker downtown at playhouse square. we went with my work bestie kristin - and while it was visually stunning, the last production put in more effort in the choreography and stage design. still - it's my fave christmas tradition. we got late lunch/early dinner at a local soul food restaurant zanzibar. cocktail of the week: grapefruit rosé martini.

this week's looks

the winter did not discourage me this week. i had so much fun wearing bright red outfits, and layering dresses with pants was an experiment i tried twice. i think i did well. not so ashley tisdale on the red carpet, hopefully. this week was proof not to neglect my fashion just because the weather sucks. i think dressing up helped me feel less depressed.

monday for work i wore a floral mesh top and grey bellbottoms, black scarf, leather gloves and earmuffs, gold purse, moto boots and puffer jacket. a painfully cold day.

i think this might be a personal december fave look - took a lesson in layering myself and practiced the philosophy of layering a shirt dress on top of trousers - privacy please khaki dress (with pockets), and diane von furstenburg pants underneath. had to accessorize with a beret and leather croc imitation belt. gold accessories and jewelry. tuesday - work

window shopping was less gracious. kept the trousers, added an oversized marlboro hoodie, swapped jacket for a shorter brown puffer. swapped beret for my indie beanie

this week i talk a lot about brown tones + blue, here it is in practice. for work i chose a blue/orange blouse, armani collezioni jeans, and a camel leather jacket. coach purse (because why not more patterns), dark brown scarf, and heel boots.

for my hair appointment wednesday night, i chose a very casual and simple look - my community college sweatshirt, flared sweatpants, columbia jacket, coach bag and ugg slippers.

thursday's work look consisted of black calvin klein jeans, vintage talbots floral blouse, red bomber jacket, gold hobo bag, and fisherman loafers. an exceptionally warm day. loved it.

croatian school holiday party. sib's christmas sweater from h&m croatia, flared american eagle jeans, forever 21 red boots, the gold hobo bag and red bomber jacket again.

friday's christmas party at work - i wore a red v neck sweater with a garland hooked like mentioned earlier - for the wreath effect. amped it all up with red tights, and knee high christmas socks.

saturday for luka's b day i wore an off-shoulder sweater from forever 21 and thrifted tadashi flowy pants. steve madded platform boots, guess tweed coat, leather gloves, grey beret and scarf, gold hobo bag.

sunday's ballet look was diane von furstenburg wrap dress, old navy skinny black jeans, black pvc boots, forever 21 coat. gold crossbody bag, ray ban sunnies.

what am i looking forward to this week?

last minute shopping, card-writing, and baking are predicted the first three days (while balancing work), then we've got christmas: church and house parties, and then the end of the week we celebrate bestie abby! merry christmas!
