3-23-25 MY WEEK: lady in red and pistachio dreams

✿spring is finally officially in the air, and the weather was... confusing? sib and i started the week off by resetting post-pittsburgh road trip, and had a few sunny days to clean out the garden and do yard work. unfortunately the spring teaser was not long lasting, so the end of the week was once again, spent under the gloomy weather and a sense of lack of energy. even though it was refreshing getting out of our yoga session  at 7pm, and it was still light out.

bestie vg started her barista job at a local coffee shop versare and i had the most scrumptious pistachio latte ever. this will be my new go to drink for the season. back when we were in croatia over the summer, sib and i noticed how much europeans love their pistachio flavored everything. it's like the matcha of europe. i am very happy to see the appreciation of pistachio trickling to the states, very slowly (should we thank the viral dubai chocolate?)

as i mentioned last entry, it was a good day to score a vintage herve leger dress. we've been thrifting a bit more, locally, where we have been hunting for cheap ties so sib can create a tie skirt, and we found a new with tags uniqlo shirt and a nirvana sweatshirt. sib's next project might also be creating the moschino piano key skirt, and we've both been wanting to make a grungy off the shoulder t shirt. you'll be finding me in the men's t shirt section to find the right t shirt. 

this week's fits

monday on our way back from our pittsburgh road trip, i once again followed inspiration from edie sedgwick. it was the chilliest day of our trip, so i layered up mostly for the few gas station stops, and our consignment store stop. secondhand black and purple blouse, a long sleeve white t shirt underneath, thrifted halston pants, target flats, and my raincoat from new york in co. (bought during my mall days)

🠄tuesday at work i layered up but added a bright pop of color to invoke spring time. my office i notoriously chilly all year round (i keep a cardigan during the summer because i will in fact sniffle from how cold it gets), so i paired a colorful hard rock cleveland t shirt with my trusty h&m basic blazer. the skirt is part of a dkny set.

for gardening and flower shopping i kept the t shirt on, but i changed in khaki cargo pants and a secondhand colorado jacket. i'm excited to host barbecue and charcuterie parties on the patio, for now i'll look forward to days i can sit back and read.🠆

wednesday was another warm day, and i paired my mom's pencil skirt with a simple polo short and topped such a basic outfit off with polka dot tights.

🠄thursday got a bit chillier, but i kept it light with a pink floral blouse, brown pants and the heart docs.

for yoga i chose my t shirt from my high school italy trip, and boyfriend's race car jacket to make the yoga look more interesting🠆

🠄friday for work i chose thrifted lee jeans and a bright silk blouse with some cool button designs.

friday night sib, boyfriend and i met vg and her older sister for casual drinks in dtw. not wanting to fuss over the cold weather, i layered up in a target chunky sweater and a beanie, alongside my leathers.🠆

🠄saturday morning i had to attend a funeral which is very unglamourous. so i wore a very ordinary dark purple sweater and express slacks. i'm glad a bundled up because we got some flurries that morning too. i cheered up by meeting sib and vg at her coffee shop.

we got dinner at pasha turkish kitchen that evening and i wore an h&m beige sweater with thrifted striped skinny jeans.🠆

what am i looking forward to this week?

☼other than hoping for more sun, i've got minimal plans this week. there's some gig's i'd like to check out downtown and i found another drag brunch. do i dare, after we've tried to go for weeks but it kept canceling? we shall see.
