2-16-2025 MY FAVES: superbowl and sisterhood

 music of the week

    post superbowl, kendrick lamar's performance was definitely a music highlight this week for me. his whole performance is now on spotify. i also listened to some sza as well, also was influenced by the performance.

    since my big project was making a DIY deck of tarot cards, i also felt inspired to create a ton of playlists inspired by the decks: major arcana, suit of swords, suit of wands, suit of cups, and suit of pentacles.

movies of the week

    i actually haven't watched anything other than peeking at the screen occasionally while sib was watching the holiday with, obviously, jude law. 

    boyfriend wanted to check out a documentary about prince andrew and his weirdo behavior with epstein, but we couldn't find which one it was and where it's streaming. 

    i bookmarked a ton of fashion documentaries  on my letterboxd app.

books of the week

    i've been enjoying the band of the sisters book a lot, and i read through my recent vogue. band of sisters i partially fictionalized, and used actual historical events and letters from these individuals to create a captivating story about brave women helping villagers in france in wwi. it talks about gender roles back in the 1920s, devastation of war, the power of friendship and community to lift morale. i definitely want to dive more in researching the smith college women, so i'll be looking for movies and podcasts soon.
