PeSuit and Tie

  it was a feast-full of a week my friends, and sib and i treated ourselves frequently with eating out, as did boyfriend and i. while i enjoy cooking every so often, i admit i have no desire to, and will always rather eat out. i understand the health and economic benefits of cooking at home, but i'll never say to no to tacos at barrio , ramen at ichiraku , udon noodles at asian feastery, or all you can eat sushi at  kintaro . same goes for breakfast - i'll indulge in the low-key diner vibes of manhattan deli  or go for the continental buffet after church at concord family restaurant .  a very cat-oriented week it was too. on our late-night walk, we had a shadow follow us, a cat kind enough to let us pet it a million times. we also participated in a kitten kanuudle  fundraiser with amazing raffles (neither of us won). sib and i don't own a cat due to allergies, but maybe someday we'd say yes to adopting, maybe, just maybe... sib and i were the youngest attendees ...

  a really cool fashion blog i've been following,  paper doll sammy , just posted her take on the  key f/w 2025 trends . i got inspired, and wanted to do a take of my own. british vogue recently identified some key words that will be big this fall. quite frankly, i feel like some of these have been a trend for some time. i see nothing wrong with this actually. let's see some stability rather than constant turning of trends. how will some of these trends evolve throughout our years and  the fast fashion buzzwords?  high-fashion frump the frumpiness, the layers. i'm thinking coastal grandma, high fashion grandma, meets crunchy girl.  for this look, i styled this recently thrifted chanel tee, with a long denim skirt (a la mormon?). adding on a plaid shirt with various shades of blue, black leather briefcase and lacquered loafers. hipsterized it with the accessories. fyi: i'm forcing a beanie comeback this fall. catchphrase perhaps this came back with the rebir...

another warm week blesses us - no rain, just the ideal high 70s and cool evenings. we started the week strong with fancy birthday dinner at the marble room  for sib. she specifically demanded steak as her ideal birthday dinner. i complied, they offer some amazing sushi. it was a fun excuse to dress a bit up.  sib, bestie victoria, croatian bestie matea and myself tried out rock climbing  in the coolest rock climbing studio called climb cleveland . three floors, and a basement with weights, pool, books, vertical and horizontal climbing walls. overwhelming, but exciting! we need to revisit, and gain more upper body strength. to ail our sore arms, we all stopped for drinks at the treehouse  down the road.  cocktails of the week were: dragonfruit  (marble room) - dragon fruit infused tequila, lime soda. smoke on the beach (the treehouse) - pineapple tequila, mescal, pineapple juice, lime, agave. on saturday, sib and i tried ice cream at cibik's dairy islan...
